Alicia and Gwyn are back together again, today with two very chic outfits. I feel like we need to come up with some kind of blogger duo name- if you have any ideas comment below ;). Anyway, this post is going to be a long one, so I’ll cut right to the chase. Recently, Alicia and I went to the movies together, (we had an absolute blast!) we saw...The Visit! If you would like to hear my thoughts on the movie and a quick little run down of my outfit, hop on over to Alicia’s blog, The Girl with the Heels, here! But wait, before you head over there, I would love to welcome Alicia back to my blog to say little about her outfit and what she thought of The Visit. So, let’s cut the preamble, here she is, the beautiful, well-spoken Alicia!
Thanks Gwyn- I’m so pumped to be back! You know, time and time again I think to myself “I must’ve been one hell of a good girl to deserve a friend like you.” Sometimes I still find it so surreal that because of starting a blog, I met you and now we’re very good friends! I mean, who woulda thunk?:’) Anyway, as Gwyn was saying, last Saturday we went out to the movies together and had the best time! The Visit was a picture that I had been really badly wanting to see for a very long time- but thanks to a bad cough and the sneezies as well as homework up to my neck, it didn’t look like it would happen anytime soon. But the saying is true: “Good things come to people who wait.” I recovered from the cold, I completed the homework and I went with Gwyn instead! :) So it turned out even better! I give The Visit a 3.5 out of 5 stars- I thought it was an awesome movie! Although I wouldn’t go as far as saying it was the best horror movie ever made (The Shining is still my créme de la créme of scary movies), I still liked it lots! It was a little bit predictable at times, but they did it in such a way that even though you knew what was coming next, it still sent a chill up your spine when it did happen! Yes, I do recommend this movie to anyone who doesn’t get easily scared! Now moving onto my outfit, I wanted to keep it fall-y and casual but still nice and light, since the weather was beautiful that day! Recently I made a trip to The Bay and found that beautiful cardigan on sale! I just thought it was so darn cute! I love the colours and textures on it- it definitely says fall! As I just had a plain black tank underneath along with blue jeans, I thought I would add a little pop of colour to this outfit thanks to my salmon coloured Coach flats. As well, my reliable Kate Spade and my watch because I think it adds a nice little professional and polished element to a look. To close, I just want to thank Gwyn for the amazing time we had together! I love it when we hang out! With that, I’ll hand the post back over to Gwyn for some final thoughts and remarks. Thanks for having me on your blog!
Thank you so much Alicia for collaborating with me again! I love spending time with you (I mean fashion soul-mates or what? ;) and I know that our friendship will last for a very long time (just like our sense of style.) Friends can be made in the most amazing ways, I mean through my blog I’ve been able to connect with so many people. I think Alicia and I’s friendship is a real testament to how influential the internet can be in connecting people and creating bonds that will (hopefully ;) last a lifetime. Alicia you are such an intelligent, fun girl and I have such a fantastic time whenever we are together! Oh, and one last thing, be sure to visit Alicia’s blog (here’s a link!) she creates top-notch content that I know you will love!
