The Girl With The Heels // Collaboration and Ootd

Good morning (or afternoon/evening depending on what time of day it is where you live;)! Today is a very exciting day as Gwyn and I have planned something super special! Can you guess? We've done it before! Yes, we've decided to do another blog swap with each other where she'll be taking over The Girl With The Heels today, and alternatively, I will be guest posting on her lovely blog today as well.

A short while ago, Gwyn and I had a thoroughly amazing day together. Any time I hang out with Gwyn, is hands-down the highlight of my week! She is so elegant and poised, not to mention absolutely stunning too! But the thing I probably love most about spending time with Gwyn, is that even though I met her just recently, I feel like I can talk to her about absolutely anything and everything for hours:) We started off the day with brunch, where I had the most sublime (not to mention enormous!) waffles with whipped cream and fruit. Following brunch, we decided to spend the rest of the afternoon walking around, chatting, and shopping together. Although it was a bit breezy outside, the weather was terrific and for this reason, we were able to enjoy ourselves way more. Kudos to you mother nature!

Because the weather decided to cooperate with us, I was able to wear my latest purchase for the occasion: this trench coat. A beautiful trench coat is a classic piece that belongs in a closet and how I survived this long without one, is something that I'll never be able to comprehend. Some time ago, I was making my weekly rounds at Banana Republic and came across this gem. Up until then, I was on a major hunt to find myself a trench coat. I searched and searched but all the possible options I came across were ended up being put back due to various reasons. (Fit, detailing, price point- you know, the usual;) Anyway, I guess the moral of this story is to always keep your eyes open and never give up! You'll get it in the end if you persevere. (That goes for more than just material things;)

The rest of my look is made up of all the other timeless pieces that always have been in style: skinny jeans, pearl studs, peachy pumps and cat-eyes. Typically, skinny jeans are only associated with casual clothes, but I find that when worn with some statement jewellery (statement jewellery can be bold or subtle), it can completely glam up an outfit. Another easy way to take a pair of skinny jeans to the next level is if you choose a nice pair of pumps over flats or sneakers :)

And with that, I would like to end this post with a few closing remarks thanking Gwyn for the splendid time we spent together and for so graciously welcoming me onto her blog! As well, thank YOU so much for reading! Now, if you would like to read Gwyn's half of this post (And I guarantee you it will definitely be worth your while!), head on over to my blog, The Girl With The Heels! Have a superb rest of your day!
