What better way to start the morning than with a cup of coffee and a blog post filled with sequin, fine fabrics, and fur (no worries it's faux ;)?!
Lately I have been loving very luxe pieces. They just have this distinguished air that makes me feel so classy and beautiful! For a while I was in a huge fashion funk, no new ideas were really coming to me (if you couldn't tell from the lack of blog posts this month). You know how it feels! You just feel so uninspired when it comes to your wardrobe, even your old favourites start to feel a little passé. If you were or are in a funk I highly recommend you get out that door and find yourself the most lavish piece you can find. There's nothing like a little sequin here or fur there to help pull you out of that style stump!
Now, I know luxe pieces may seem a tad bit unwearable, but rest assured you can! Here are a few tips (with pictures!) on how you can totally wear that fur stole you've always wanted ;)
1 // Find basics in lush fabrics. This is by far the best way to ease those fancy fabrics and pieces into your closet. Try a pair of leather leggings (which are much easier to dress up than your Lulus ;), or a silk blouse (pair it with the leather leggings for a beautiful contrast in texture).
Add a fur stole like this one for even more glam! Blouse // similar here, Jeans // here, Flats // similar here, Purse // other colours here
2 // Highlight a key piece. If you're wearing fur vest, try to make it the centre of attention. This can help to keep your outfits more casual if you're still a little afraid of looking too dressed up (to that I say a girl can never be too dressed up!).

3 // Try a monochromatic look. On of my personal favourites, a monochrome look always looks so pulled together. Throw a few fancier fabrics in there for the ultimate classy look!

4 // Don't break the bank. Just because something looks expensive doesn't mean it is! i especially encourage you to not only search more budget friendly stores ( Zara, Banana Republic, J. Crew, etc.) but also look online and in more expensive shops for sales! February is actually one of the best times of the year if you're looking for sales, stores are busy trying to rid themselves of all of their fall and winter stock so you can get gorgeous pieces for cheap!
5 // Invest in classics. Now I know, I know, I just said you don't need to break the bank to look lush and expensive. But, if you do find a classic piece that is beautifully made and something you know you will have for a long time there is no shame in shelling out a little more cash for it. You can't go wrong with a classic silk scarf or a soft cashmere sweater!
I hope this post inspired you to try to add a little more luxe love into your wardrobe!
And as always, thanks for reading!
