Travel With Me // Seattle

My second wish has been fulfilled (you’ll get what I mean if you read yesterday’s post)! The general consensus about what to do today was to hop back into the car and go to Seattle! Thankfully it was only a four-ish hour drive, a piece of cake compared to the 12 it took to get to Vancouver.

Once we were across the border our first stop was the Seattle Premium outlets. Due to the terrible Canadian Dollar we had to keep in mind that we would be paying about 20% more more than the American price. This kept me from buying a few of the items that had caught my eye. In the end my mom left with an adorable pair of earrings from Kate Spade and I left with a new Kate Spade wallet, a Kate Spade phone case for Erin (who just got an iPhone 6! I mean new phone=a new adorable case right?), and the most beautiful jean jacket from Coach. Now I don’t want to come off as a bragger (is that a word? I don’t think so, but it serves my purpose here) the only reason I was not only able to buy such beautiful things but be on an amazing vacation in the first place is because of my parents. They work so hard to allow us to travel and buy beautiful things, I cannot thank them enough.

Now after that heartfelt moment let’s move on :)

Once we left the premium outlets and found parking in Seattle we made our way to the Space Needle! While on our way to the Needle I made my mom (who I think by this point is a little tired of taking pictures of me ;) take some Ootd pics:

I have never been to Seattle, but I loved it! The Space Needle was so neat! I loved all the interactive touch screens up on the observation deck. Our family was even able to sign into an interactive “guest book” and see where different landmarks are located! I was disappointed to learn that Seattle Grace (or Grey+Sloan Memorial) Hospital is not a real hospital; I mean I kind of assumed it wasn’t real but it was disappointing all the same (hehe). After spending some time at the Space Needle we walked down fifth ave. and to Pike Street Market!

Whilst walking down fifth ave. we were graced by the presence of a Nordstrom Rack, a store I have never been to but have always wanted to go! Just a little tip: Nordstrom Rack is huge and disorganized, while it is filled with amazing discounts at even more amazing prices make sure you’ve allotted at least and hour or two of your day to that particular store. Also, you probably should not bring your 11 year old brother and dad with you if you want them to keep their sanity. My mom and I tried on quite a few pieces but ultimately decided against them.

While the Space Needle was pretty impressive, the most historical landmark we went to was…the first Starbucks! Just kidding ;). We did get some pretty sweet mugs there though!

Pike Street Market was also really quite cool. It was very neat to see all of the fresh fish and produce spread out all along the street. I would advise a quick visit though. It was fun, but very crowded.

For dinner we ate at my favourite american restaurant…The Cheesecake Factory! Can you guess why I love it there so much? Let me give you a clue: it’s in the name ;) We had a delicious dinner and finished off our night with a heavenly piece of chocolate cheesecake. Mmmmmmm.

Tomorrow we begin our journey home :( I would also like to thank you if you’ve read and enjoyed this Travel With Me series! I’m so glad I was able to share these experiences with you!
