Travel With Me // Whistler Day 2

The end is near :( but there are still a few more things to see! Today was probably my favourite day of the entire trip so far! My mom and I went to the spa and my dad and bother went snowboarding on a glacier! (Who do you think had more fun?) I'd like to say that I take very good care of myself and it is probably obvious by now that I take a lot of pride in my appearance. One thing I have never done though, go to a spa. I have two wishes on this trip: to go to a spa in Whistler and to go to Seattle (fingers crossed)! Wish number one has now been completed and I must say I feel very fulfilled.

This morning began very laid back. We woke up around 9 and began getting ready for our spa appointment at 11 that we made yesterday. At this point I was beyond excited and so was my mom! Now, I thought I was excited, until I saw my dad and Max. They love to snowboard (my dad especially)! If you want to read a little more about how my dad got into boarding, I actually convinced him to start a blog of his own! Now, he does not update it very often but it's still worth a look if you are relatively new to now boarding and you want some great tips! Check it out here.

As I was saying, we were super exited! Once we were ready we loaded up the car and drove to the Chateau Whistler. We dropped the boys, who were then buried in gear and walked over to the hotel. We went to the Vida Spa in the Chateau Whistler. It was a wonderful experience, albeit expensive, that was worth every penny. The reason we choose the Vida spa was along with our hour or longer treatments we got full pool access for an entire day! The pool at the Chateau Whistler is absolutely beautiful and worth the little bit extra. I received a facial and my mom had a pedicure. Both were done by very personable, knowledgeable aestheticians. The women who did my facial was amazing and really helped unclog the stubborn pores on my chin (the hand and foot massages were also a plus when my mask was setting!) Oh and Idid not take any pictures of the spa, sorry!

After our wonderful time at the spa, my mom and I swapped our robes for bathing suits and headed right to the pool! The sun has finally begun to penetrate the layer of smoke that hovers over Whistler, which was so nice this afternoon by the pool. After about two hours the boys called and told us they they were ready for us to come pick them up. Mom and headed to the change rooms, shimmied out of our suits and went to pick them up.

They loved snowboarding on the glacier, I mean how cool is it to say that you've snowboarded in the middle of July! Max did say that it was definitely for experts only, but I'm sure it was that pesky T-bar that caused them so much grief not the actual runs themselves ;)

Tonight we went to a fantastic sushi place called Sushi Village (on Max's request). The food was affordable, abundant, and most importantly delicious!

Today was an amazing day in an even more amazing place, I cannot wait for you to see what's in store tomorrow!

As always, thanks for reading!
